Yesterday, Matt and I were fortunate enough to be a part of a training session put on by a team from Colorado who is here to work at their carepoint.
Matt joined the pastor from this team and several Swazi pastors and had a very interesting discussion about how to deal with grief as a pastor. He said that it was pretty neat to hear the opinions of the Swazi pastors and how tradition and culture played a part in their pastoral role.
I had the opportunity to help a lady from the Colorado group meet with all the teachers from each carepoint. I found it interesting to listen to the wish list of each teacher, particularly the ones from Enaleni and Bhobhokazi. Bhobhokazi really want a building that they can use for school. We were also able to give them advice on how to help their students with English and how to encourage disengaged students.
Today was great as Matt and I went on a safari and a game reserve here in Swaziland. It was very cool! We came so close to all the animals! We were able to see elephants, rhinos, hippos, impala, giraffes and many more animals. Unfortunately no lions though.
Tomorrow we are off to church and on Monday we will be at Enaleni giving crocs to the preschool kids. Also on Monday Matt will be playing basketball with a local universityclub team.
Thats all for now!!
