  1. Beautiful job team!…and what a great looking wall!!!

Love the picture in front of the school with all the kids!

A verse for your team today:

God’s kingdom isn’t a matter of what you put in your stomachs (so if you guys want to go and eat dirt or cement…go right ahead:) … It’s what God does with your life as he sets it right, puts it together, and completes it with joy. Your task is to single-mindedly serve Christ. Do that and you’ll kill two birds with one stone: pleasing the God above you and living a life of goodness and peace!
    Romans 14:17

Team… you are doing both in a powerful way! Serving God…and bringing so much goodness and peace to our friends and the community in Swaziland!

    Be blessed…sleep well!

  2. Wonderful job Team Riverwood! I have been so blessed by the postings on your blog. Wish I was there. Maybe next year. Know that your church family is praying many blessings on each and everyone on the team. You are doing the physical work of showing God’s real love. Thank your for serving and going above and beyond. Love to you all.

  3. Hey Doug,

What an experience. You are truly bringing joy into the lives of these people. Im so proud of you man. Good photography too. Keep up the good, hard work as you expand the kingdom of God. Love ya bro.

  4. Gino , Sandra & the Swazi gang

All of you sound like you are having a incredible time. The pictures are absolutly awsome and the children look like they are playing with all of your heart strings. Although I only know Gino and Sandra in this group I am amazed at the pasison you all have for helping others. This is a trip I know many could not have done. Your committment to God and the community is amazing. I believe that God beckons people to do something that they have never done so they could experience something they have never experienced. But they have to move beyond what is safe. God has moved all of you to something bigger and something better. Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. In just a couple of days you have made an incredible difference in the lives of the children of Swaziland, in just a couple of days God has made an incredible difference in the lives of all of you. Enjoy, be safe.

  5. Hi Doug:

What an amazing experience this must be for you. This mission trip will change the lives of so many in that area and in the process your life will be changed as well. We’re praying for you and the team. Stay healthy and may God continue to richly bless you all.

    With Love & Prayers,
    Uncle Dave & Aunt Agatha

  6. Hey Scott

Just a little note to say we love and miss you and hope you are having a fabulous time despite the torrential down pour and lack of power tools!!! (I know that must be driving you up the wall…) Something else that will stir you up …the house is a complete write-off and there ain’t nothin’ you can do about it!!! Ha ha. ( Just kidding, it’s really not that bad).
I hope this trip has been everything you thought it would be and more. I wasn’t surprised to see that you got scolded from the flight attendant for not sitting down in your seat – this is a problem you’ve consistently come across since Kindergarten, I’m sure of it!
    A little note to Gino:
I really enjoyed your video, it was extremely heartfelt and touching. It’s amazing how ridiculous our Western society seems when facing the challenges that people in Enaleni/Bhobokazi face everyday just to survive. Clearly, this was a spiritual test of patience but with amazing spirtual rewards!!! Yay Doug for pulling out that guitar and whoever’s idea it was to start singing…God loves it when we worship in spite of our frustrations.

Hats off to all of you! Take care and God Bless You Swazi-Team…

Carolyn – Todd is working his butt off trying to impress your daughters that he can adaquately fill your role in your absense. The girls don’t want to hurt his feelings and tell him the bar you set is just far too high. Jon – I love you and am so proud of you. Praying for you all. Pray for Vionna who gets her results tomorrow re cancer – whether its operable. she needs Gods’ healing touch.
